ABOUT THE AUTHOR
(Contributed by a friend from childhood.)
AJAY KHANNA was born and brought up in Patiala, India. The royal vibes of the erstwhile princely state, coupled with a modern education and an esoteric group of friends, helped nurture his innate romanticism.
Just like the India of the eighties, Ajay lived in two worlds. While his head was dreaming and weaving impossible dreams, his feet were firmly rooted to the ground. Even when struggling to progress his life along the planned career trajectory, he always made time to dream and imagine.
His youthful resilience and optimism helped him navigate through the turbulence of Punjab. Along with his friends, he lived as normal a childhood as the circumstances allowed. But no one leaves such days unscathed, and Ajay was no exception. His observation and intellect were constantly assimilating the situation. These thoughts remained with him as he moved to the US after completing his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
This is what has now emerged in his first novel. The book, which required fifteen years to ponder and gather the necessary courage and over three years to find the right words to write, has been incubating for almost four decades.
Tangled in 1984 is his first novel. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he works as a marketing executive after receiving a Master's in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
